Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Procurement Advisor on behalf of our client in Calgary. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced procurement and supply chain professional to support major capital projects within a large-scale industrial environment. You will lead sourcing initiatives, contract management activities, supplier negotiations, and procurement strategies that support critical infrastructure, pipeline, transportation, terminal, storage, and energy-related operations. Location: Calgary, AB Shift: Monday to Friday | In-office Job type: Temporary | Full-time Here's why you should apply: Paid weekly accurate and on time Strong health and safety programs Medical and dental benefits once qualified Free training programs New and quicker onboarding process Responsibilities: Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Lead end-to-end sourcing activities for materials, equipment, and services supporting capital projects. Develop and execute sourcing strategies that deliver value, cost savings, and operational efficiencies. Prepare and manage Requests for Proposals (RFPs), bid evaluations, supplier selection processes, and commercial recommendations. Lead supplier negotiations and establish commercial agreements, purchase orders, and contract commitments. Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials and services to support project schedules. Contract & Supplier Management Manage the full purchase order lifecycle, including creation, change management, administration, and closeout. Monitor supplier performance and support supplier relationship management initiatives. Identify and mitigate procurement, commercial, and supply chain risks. Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and procurement standards. Capital Projects Support Collaborate with project managers, engineering teams, construction teams, and business stakeholders to understand project requirements. Support project planning activities by identifying procurement requirements, timelines, and sourcing opportunities. Provide commercial guidance to project teams regarding contracts, supplier strategies, and procurement activities. Support the successful execution of capital and infrastructure projects through effective supply chain management. Stakeholder Collaboration & Continuous Improvement Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders across engineering, operations, construction, and project management teams. Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes, supplier performance, and operational efficiency. Support continuous improvement initiatives and best practices across the supply chain function. Ensure compliance with supply chain policies, procedures, and governance requirements. Qualifications and Skills: Strong understanding of procurement, sourcing, contracting, and commercial management principles. Experience supporting engineering and construction projects. Strong negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder management skills. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and business acumen capabilities. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex and fast-paced environment. High proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, SAP, LiveLink, and Tableau Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset Recognized professional designations and training (SCMP, PMP, Lean, Six-Sigma, etc.) are considered an asset Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Economics, Engineering or related disciplines Experience supporting capital projects, engineering projects, construction projects, or industrial operations. Proven experience leading sourcing events, supplier negotiations, and contract execution. Experience working with cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders. Minimum 6 years of experience in procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain Management, Contract Management or Commercial Management Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
