One of our major clients is looking for a Reliability Specialist to join their team on a contract opportunity until the end of 2027 in Kitimat, BC. The Reliability Specialist must be able to work closely with individuals from all engineering disciplines, crafts, and operators in order to create a proactive defect elimination mindset. This cross-functional perspective provides the opportunity to participate and influence in almost all aspects of the plant operation. Responsibilities Reporting to the Reliability Team lead, this role will, Facilitate problem solving for simple and more complex events matching the investigation techniques to the criticality of the incident / threat. Provide frontline Reliability support for day to day threats, understanding the response required for different event scenarios. Facilitate bad actor reviews with a view to resolution of repeat trends Carryout data analysis to proactively develop insights that enable reliability improvements using varying techniques e.g. Pareto. Build capability in the company's Problem solving techniques to provide training and coaching for craft and technical teams. Support continuous improvement of Equipment care plans through insights from site engagements and analysis. Support the Reliability lead and key stakeholders to maintain healthy facility status on safety and production critical systems, understanding underpinning themes. Support deliverables for Managing site Threats and Opportunities (MTO) to assure that we are identifying, prioritizing, and mitigating reliability threats / opportunities at the site. Coach other staff (engineers, inspectors, supervisors, etc.) in gathering correct, high-quality data to improve site reliability. Has a real interest in working day to day in an industrial plant. · Has a strong skill level in working with computers. Proven experience in developing automated tools is a bonus. · Is skilled at working in excel spreadsheets with large amounts of data requiring attention to detail. · Has an easy, open, and inquisitive attitude with an ability to shift priorities, work under pressure, and manage multiple projects. · Is able to develop presentation material to accurately reflect information, findings, and data shareable with various stakeholders. · Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills with a team player approach and positive attitude. · Has a key Interest in advancing best practices and utilizing leading edge technology. · Is a quick learner with a curious and flexible mindset who has the ability to adapt quickly to the requirements of the role. This role requires that you: Have an undergraduate degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical). Maintenance technologists and specialists are encouraged to apply. Has up to 5 years' experience of working in an industrial or similar plant. LNG plant working experience will be an advantage. Skill of Reliability Engineering Principles, practices and application with ability to discern applicability including but not limited to: Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Causal Learning investigation techniques, Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Reliability Block Diagram (RBD), Life Cycle Cost Analysis (LCCA), Weibull analysis, etc. Must be able to achieve the Professional Engineering accreditation in the Province of British Columbia in a timely manner. Be legally entitled to work in Canada (i.e., by way of Canadian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work permit) Have the ability to work outside in all weather conditions; this can include rain, hot weather, cool, or dusty days as needed. Are able to climb industrial stairs and at times ladders, work at heights and at times enter confined spaces. Plant design conditions provide structures that are significantly taller than common in industry, individuals must be comfortable with heights that meet all safety codes and company's standards Complete a clear Site Access Alcohol & Drug Test

Facilitate problem solving and defect elimination for plant operations by analyzing data and managing site threats and opportunities. Provide frontline reliability support and coach technical teams on problem-solving techniques to improve facility status.

Exigences

Requires an undergraduate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering with up to 5 years of industrial plant experience. Must be eligible for Professional Engineering accreditation in British Columbia and be physically capable of working at heights and in confined spaces.
