Your Opportunity: We invite applications from highly experienced and detail-oriented individuals to join the Provincial Cancer Patient Navigation Program as an Administrative Support IV. This dynamic and rewarding role supports a team dedicated to enhancing the patient experience across the cancer care continuum in Alberta. As a key member of the Provincial Navigation Program, the successful candidate will provide comprehensive administrative and operational support to the program team. This position plays an essential role in coordinating program activities, including referral management, patient scheduling support, staffing coordination, manager and calendar support, timekeeping functions, and general program operations, helping to ensure the efficient delivery of navigation services across the province. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust through compassionate, patient-centered interactions while maintaining sensitivity, professionalism, and discretion when navigating complex or emotionally charged situations. The incumbent will support patient access by assisting with scheduling navigation-related appointments, coordinating service timelines, managing referrals, and maintaining accurate records. In addition, this role supports workforce processes through staff scheduling, tracking staffing movements, maintaining timekeeping records, and providing administrative support aligned with operational needs. Working in a complex provincial environment requires strong organizational skills, sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a focus on patient-centered care, collaboration, and service excellence. Additional Required Qualifications: Minimum two years of experience as an Administrative Assistant IV or in a comparable administrative role within a healthcare or hospital environment. Experience working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams in a complex healthcare setting. Strong working knowledge of EPIC/Connect Care or other electronic medical record systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams. Experience with database management, data entry, and maintaining accurate records. Preferred Qualifications: Education and/or experience in a healthcare-related role. Minimum of two years of relevant experience in an oncology or provincial care setting. Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills. Strong knowledge of cancer care, and healthcare system infrastructure. Proven ability to navigate complex healthcare environments and support interdisciplinary teams.
