We strive for excellence.Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Buyer with a strong understanding of mobile asset parts to support our operations and optimize procurement processes. The successful candidate will play a key role in the purchasing process, from needs assessment to payment, including order management, warehouse replenishment, supplier relations, and support for operational teams.This is a 12-month contract to start, with the possibility of becoming permanent thereafter. You will be required to work 3 days a week at the Montreal office and 2 days a week at the Laval office.What you are responsible for:Ensure that established purchasing procedures are applied and respected;Research new sources of supply to reduce costs and improve the quality of maintenance products and services;Negotiate purchasing terms (price, deadlines, warranties, terms);Prepare and analyze cost comparison reports;Issue and manage purchase orders;Follow up on orders with suppliers;Prioritize orders and coordinate deliveries with suppliers;Develop and maintain good relationships with existing suppliers;Maintain effective communication with other departments (operations, finance);Maintain relationships with internal clients;Analyze and consolidate needs and vendors;Actively participate in achieving key performance indicators (KPIs);Any other related tasks;QualificationsTo join our team:Hold a college diploma (DEC) or equivalent combination of experience;Have at least 5 years of experience in a purchasing department within a manufacturing company (experience in heavy mobile equipment parts is an asset);Be fluent in spoken and written French and English to communicate with our various suppliers in Canada and the United States;Be committed to quality;Ability to communicate effectively with different teams and processes;Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously;Be self-motivated and resourceful;Knowledge of ERP systems (Maximo is an asset);A valid driver's license is requiredAdditional InformationWhat we offer! Exigences
Candidates must have a college diploma (DEC) and at least 5 years of purchasing experience within a manufacturing environment. Fluency in both English and French, along with a valid driver's license, is required.
