IT Technician Temporary Full-Time (35 hours per week) ART + AUDIENCE + LEARNING Located in Toronto, the Art Gallery of Ontario is one of the largest art museums in North America, attracting approximately one million visitors annually. The AGO Collection of more than 120,000 works of art ranges from cutting-edge contemporary art to significant works by Indigenous and Canadian artists and European masterpieces. Accountability: We own our actions and outcomes. We are currently seeking a IT Technician to join our Information Technology team. Under the direction of the Manager, Information Technology the incumbent will provide technical support services to all Gallery technology users; install, maintain, troubleshoot and upgrade computer hardware, software, and peripheral equipment; and provide secondary technical and user support to specialized systems as required. The rate of pay for this position is $31.11 - $38.88 per hour What is this position responsible for? Issues: As required, troubleshoots issues with IT computer systems, including troubleshooting hardware and software, e-mail, network and peripheral equipment problems; makes repairs, corrections and updates to configurations where required. Works with 3rd party vendors as needed to resolve issues. Hardware: As assigned installs, assembles and configures computers, monitors, network infrastructure and peripherals such as printers, scanners and related hardware; mobile devices; installs drop cables and rewires or directs the rewiring of cables as required for new installations and office reconfiguration. 3Software: As assigned, installs, configures and upgrades operating systems and software, using standard business and administrative packages; as directed, may modify specific applications for use in operational departments. Maintains up-to-date documentation of system configurations. Projects: As assigned, assists in the design and deployment of new technologies (upgrades, implementations, enhancements) 1 Performs other duties and projects as assigned. What are we looking for? Demonstrated experience and expertise with Windows, MacOS, iOS and Android is essential. MCP or MCSE Certifications are highly desirable. A minimum of three (3) years of related and progressively responsible experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Directly related high-level knowledge and experience of support and administration on the following: Microsoft Windows Server (2016 and above), Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, Microsoft Exchange (2016 and above). Proven experience with the Microsoft Office suite (2013, 2016, Office for Mac). Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking. Strong documentation and discovery skills. Well-developed verbal, written, interpersonal, organizational skills. Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly, and in a calm manner. What are the benefits of working at the AGO?
