26-054- PRIMARY CARE PARAMEDIC-TEMPORARY FULL-TIME (6-12 month terms) Position Overview Associated Ambulance is currently seeking qualified Primary Care Paramedics (PCP) to join our team at multiple stations across the province. Although these full-time positions are currently temporary, they offer a predictable and balanced shift schedule of four days on, followed by four days off and may revert to permanent opportunties within the organization. As a PCP with Associated Ambulance, you will be an essential part of our emergency medical response team, providing vital pre-hospital care and life-saving interventions to the community. STATIONS: EVANSBURG Core/Flex MAMEO Core/Flex WESTLOCK Core/Flex COLD LAKE 12 Hour BARRHEAD Core/Flex LAC LA BICHE 12 Hour ATHABASCA Core/Flex WHITECOURT Core/Flex Key Responsibilities Assess patient conditions to determine the extent of injury or illness and immediate care requirements. Administer pre-hospital emergency medical care, including patient stabilization for ambulance transportation. Monitor vital signs, assess blood glucose levels, and perform other diagnostic procedures. Execute advanced life support procedures such as intubation and cardiac pacing. Work collaboratively with emergency medical personnel, emergency communications officers, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Qualifications Valid Primary Care Paramedic practice permit that meets the EMS practice requirements in Alberta. Current, valid Alberta Class IV driver’s license and VSC. Completion of all mandatory and required training, including MCP and PDIC. FARE Certificate Core Competencies Strong commitment to quality patient care, safety, and professionalism, aligning with Associated Ambulance’s core values. Ability to work effectively within an inter professional healthcare team. Ability to remain calm and perform efficiently in high-pressure emergency situations. Exigences
