Applications are invited from teachers with **_BC_ ****_Certification_ ** for the following teaching position: **Port Hardy Secondary School, Port Hardy,****BC****** 0.29 FTE Temporary – ELL _Commencing: September 1, 2026_ _to_ _June_ _30,__2027_ _or return of the incumbent, whichever comes first_ The successful candidate will have the following qualifications: * completion of a Bachelor of Education; * certification by or eligible to become BC certified by the BC Teacher Certification Branch; * university coursework and experience in assessing and working with learners in ELL programs; * strong classroom management skills; * the ability and energy to work with multi-age groups and meet the needs of students with a range of learning styles and abilities using a variety of teaching strategies; * the ability and desire to work closely with staff in a team-oriented approach to teaching and learning; * strong interest in innovation and inquiry; and * ability to embed local Indigenous culture and ways of knowing into teaching practices. The starting annual salary for a full-time School Teacher position ranges from $71,425 to $119,497, with placement in the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.
