Senior Data Engineer (Cloud, Migration)

Title: Cloud/Data Migration Engineer Duration: 12 months (initial agreement to December 24, 2026, with renewal into 2027) Location: Toronto Domain: Financial Services / Capital Markets Salary: $90-$100 per hour (40 hrs/week) Assignment Type - 3 days Onsite About the Role We are seeking an experienced Cloud/Data Migration Engineer to support a large-scale cloud transformation initiative. This role combines deep expertise in database migration, cloud modernization, and Python engineering. The successful candidate will play a key role in migrating enterprise data platforms from Oracle and SQL Server to Snowflake, modernizing database assets and stored procedures, and transitioning Python-based analytics workloads from on-premises environments to Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). Required Qualifications Strong experience with Python development Advanced SQL and database development skills Experience with Oracle and/or Microsoft SQL Server Hands-on experience with Snowflake data platform Experience migrating data and database workloads to cloud platforms Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) Experience with Docker and Kubernetes Knowledge of database performance tuning and optimization Experience working in Agile development environments The following are considered assets but are not required: Financial services, capital markets, or investment management experience Canadian Securities Course (CSC) Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation or candidacy Bloomberg platform experience Data engineering and cloud modernization experience

Lead the migration of enterprise data platforms from Oracle and SQL Server to Snowflake. Transition Python-based analytics workloads from on-premises environments to Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).

Requires strong expertise in Python, advanced SQL, and hands-on experience with Snowflake and Kubernetes. Experience with cloud modernization and database optimization in an Agile environment is essential.
