Birch Mountain Enterprises (BME) is hiring experienced Hydrovac Operators for a Temporary 3 month contract, with the potential to become full-time. 14/7 Shift schedule, Days and Nights. Job Summary: Operating from our Clients site location Fort McMurray the Hydro Vac Operator position involves the safe operation of a tri-drive hydro Vac unit. Operators should be mechanically inclined and physically fit to work in all kinds of weather. Preference will be given to candidates that possess previous hydro-vac experience in the industrial sector. Duties and Responsibilities: Operate Tri-drive hydro Vac units in a safe and efficient manner Must be physically able to perform tasks and work in all weather Completion of daily documentation including but not limited to daily log books, customer work orders, field level risk assessment, pre/post trip inspections Follow instructions for tasks assigned by Dispatch or Supervisor Complete daily housekeeping of assigned truck to ensure maintenance of company image Attend daily tool box and safety meetings as scheduled and adhere to corporate and site safety regulations and procedures. Qualifications: Possess a valid Class 3 operator’s license with clean driver’s abstract Minimum 3 years experience (including up to 18 speed manual class 1 equipment) Previous (or related) experience operating hydro Vac units Clear verbal and written communication skills OSSA (or OSSA BSO/CSO) and CSTS certification H2S Alive, Ground Disturbance, Confined space and fall protection certification Must be able to complete online training. Must successfully pass BME driver’s evaluation, D&A and fit for duty pre-employment screening Submission: We thank you for your interest in Birch Mountain and remind all candidates that only successful applicants will be contacted.
