Traffic Control is a vital part of our work sites. Knowledge of traffic safety, traffic flow and traffic controls are essential in being successful in this position. A Valid Class 5 License is required. Job Overview and Responsibilities Interact in a professional and courteous manner with the public Safely direct vehicular, pedestrian and construction traffic thru the work zone Keeping the work zone safe of potential hazards before and after initial sign set up Assist with setting up and tearing down work zones which includes signs, barricades and delineators Requires a flexible work schedule including overtime, weekend and out of town work as required during the construction season (May November) Comply with safe working procedures and practices Other duties as required PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO LOCAL CANDIDATES

The traffic control person is responsible for safely directing vehicular and pedestrian traffic through construction zones. They also assist in the setup and teardown of traffic control devices such as signs, barricades, and delineators.

Candidates must possess a valid Class 5 driver's license and have a strong understanding of traffic safety and flow. The role requires flexibility for overtime, weekend work, and out-of-town travel during the construction season.
