As a Leadership Development Coordinator, you will coordinate the resources including training material, facility requirements, catering, facilitators and attendees for all leadership programs sponsored by the Recruitment and Learning Division. The position is also responsible for maintaining technology related to the programs and storing information related to courses and analysing course data and issues in collaboration with the Manager, sworn Sergeant and related subject matter experts. The Centre of Leadership Development (CLD) supports 3,000+sworn and civilian personnel in customer care that includes yet limited to supporting strong and trusted relationship with the CLD customers. The position will advocate on behalf of the CLD while recognizing the role and responsibility they have to the Calgary Police Service (CPS). Primary duties include: Develop, implement and maintain a standardized Leadership Training Schedule that aligns with Sworn promotional announcements, district schedules and the leadership learning priorities of the service. Establish a trusted connection in helping customers understand program differences and answer their concerns, work collaboratively to address current and future issues, building internal relationships and facilitate the resolution of issues with technical subject matters experts. Update customer databases, software, storage drives and present attendance forecasts and statistics to the CLD Team to influence program delivery and an enhance customer experience. Plan and implement all levels of the CPS leadership programs including booking all facilitators, speakers, participants facilities, catering, subject matter experts, room set up and technology. Support the Learning Development Unit as backfill for the Learning Advisor position when the incumbent is on vacation. Handle all inquiries, applications, SharePoint site, logistics and completion records for Leadership Development Programs. Coordinate Sole Source agreements, procurements and invoices for Leadership Development and other in-service programs. Manage administrative details, administer electronic surveys and maintain a metrics dashboard to identify program strengths and provide recommendations to the Manager to make data-driven decisions specific to programs. Qualifications A 2 year diploma in Human Resources, Adult Education or related field and a minimum of 3 years of experience as a learning or program coordinator is required. Equivalency of a degree and 1 year of experience will be considered. Proficiency using Microsoft office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) is required. Knowledge of Power BI and adult learning principles are considered an asset. The successful candidate will need to be willing to learn how to use Power BI to compile data and create a statistics dashboard and reports.
