Heavy Equipment Operator Class 3 Temporary Long-Term Unionized Position Code MI26-46 Hourly rate 42,51$ Deadline to apply August 20th, 2026 The work location is at Nunavik and the normal work schedule is on a rotation of 6 weeks: 3 weeks worked (77 hours per week, 7 days a week) followed by 3 weeks for rest. Future challenges Reporting to the Pit Supervisor, the Heavy Equipment Operator 3, primarily a truck driver, will also occasionally be required to operate the heavy machinery used at the mine. * He carries out his tasks while adhering to current safety standards (road safety and health and safety). * He is responsible for inspecting his equipment before and after his shift. * If necessary, he performs any other tasks requested by his supervisor. Profile required * Having Have worked at least 2000 hours as a heavy machinery operator. * Must be capable of operating at least 2 of the following equipment: Loader 966, compact loader, dozer D3 and D6, an articulated dump truck 35T, a 40T mine truck, a 75T mine truck. * Possession of a general explosives permit is mandatory. * Has successfully completed a heavy equipment course or has experience deemed equivalent. * Due to frequent interactions with French-speaking team members, bilingualism (French/English) is an asset that facilitates and enhances our internal communications. The Heavy Equipment Operator will primarily operate trucks and other heavy machinery at the mine site. They are responsible for conducting equipment inspections and ensuring all tasks are performed in compliance with safety standards.

Candidates must have at least 2000 hours of experience operating heavy machinery and be proficient in at least two specific types of equipment. A general explosives permit and completion of a heavy equipment course or equivalent experience are mandatory.
