1 temporary full-time position for 4 months intended specifically for students enrolled in an architectural design technology, interior design, urban planning or related co-op or equivalent post-secondary work experience diploma program. Other education programs with a work experience component may also be considered. This position will be working within the Infrastructure Services Department and support Workspace Planning - creating spaces that support the work of the Corporation. What will you do? Aid with workspace assessments by completing project documentation and liaising with business partners Assist in stakeholder relations and functional program creation Assist with office furniture management by tracking furniture requests, preparing requests for quotations and attending site meetings Design support through space planning, interior design, and furniture layouts Assist with workspace booking system and requests for changes Assist with vendor and contract management Currently enrolled in an architectural design technology, interior design, urban planning or related post secondary diploma co-op program. Other education programs with a work experience component may also be considered Assets: Experience using Google Workspace applications or equivalent applications Demonstrated ability using AutoCAD and reading architectural plans Valid Alberta Class 5 driver's license (or provincial equivalent) Skills required for success: Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to express ideas and concepts effectively Excellent organizational and multitasking skills Ability to take measurements, record data, and take images to provide relevant visual reference for observations and data collected A commitment to service excellence Commitment to a culture of inclusion and understanding Alignment to our Cultural Commitments and Leadership Competencies (https://bit.ly/4brRrXm) Embracing a culture of equity, diversity, reconciliation and inclusion Conditions of Employment: Driving may be required for City business As part of your application, we ask that you attach an unofficial transcript or enrollment verification letter.
