Position Title: Specialist, Partnership Development Full Time, Contract Location: 1929 Bayview (Hybrid) Reports To: Director, Partnerships & Innovation I. Scope and Summary of Primary Responsibilities Under the leadership of the Director, Partnerships & Innovation and working in collaboration with the Come to Work team across the country, the Specialist, Partnership Development will build the resources necessary to grow and expand the Come to Work program to be national in scope and relevant to all Canadians with sight loss seeking meaningful employment. This position will help us launch comprehensive and meaningful efforts which will aim to change the lives of Canadians who are blind, low vision or DeafBlind. Specifically, this position will be responsible for developing, executing, and evaluating partnership development tactics and strategies to attract, sustain and grow CNIB’s Come to Work national employer partnerships. The successful candidate must possess the necessary skills to work effectively in a not-for-profit setting, as part of an inclusive, empowered culture where every team member feels valued, respected, and engaged. This is a one-year contract position. II. Essential Functions The position entails, but is not limited to the following general responsibilities: Lead the design, planning and execution of all outreach activities to national organizations, businesses and employers that align with CNIB's Come to Work Program objectives. Focus engagement opportunities on industries of interest, identified by Talent Pool members. Monitor emerging employment trends and evaluate for future partnership opportunities. Regular follow up with potential and current partner participants by phone, email and in person. Plan and deliver quarterly programming to help Talent Pool meet potential employers. Conducts research on a variety of topics as required. Regularly communicate progress, success, and opportunities with Come to Work team. Track progress in CNIB’s database (i.e., Salesforce). Other duties as assigned. III. Qualifications Knowledge and Skill Requirements Proven time management and organization skills; amenable to changing priorities, deadlines, and procedures. Advanced computer skills, with proficiency in MS365 Office software including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Proficiency and working knowledge of Salesforce an asset. Excellent written and oral communications skills. Customer service oriented with well-developed interpersonal skills. Experience in reporting on government or administrative project, an asset. Professional attitude, results oriented, self-directed, and flexible. Demonstrates mature and sensitive nature, as well as emotional and social stability when dealing with the needs of persons experiencing sight loss and other functional challenges. Proven knowledge of existing programs and program providers to establish/re-establish working relationships is an asset. Must be able to travel independently within the region via public transit, car, or ride-share. Specific and demonstrated knowledge of Canadian economic and labour markets current and future growth and how it ties to the national and international employment market. Language fluency – Written and Oral – English. Comfortable with designing, executing and tracking cold calls to known and unknown entities. Fluency, written and oral, in French, an asset. Experience and Education Minimum post-secondary education or equivalent experience. Two (2) years of experience in community, partner, or government engagement. Personal or professional experience relating to blindness and vision loss is considered an asset. Work Environment Agile office environment. Willingness to work flexible hours. Hybrid work environment means 2-3 days in office with work from home or at location of collaboration partner engagement activity Occasional travel within the region (20%).
