Commissionaires BC is currently recruiting for a Mobile Security Guard to join our team. We are looking for someone to provide a visible security presence, conducting patrols, responding to incidents and supporting the safety and security of clients, staff and the public. Schedule: Monday - Friday 1530 - 2030 Payrate: $25.80/hour Some of your responsibilities include: Conducting regular vehicle and foot patrols Ticket checking Assisting Station Attendants when needed Vehicle patrols are required at Mission, Port Haney, Maple Meadows, Pitt Meadows, Port Coquitlam, Coquitlam and Port Moody stations. The shift begins at Pitt Meadows. Unlocking/locking gates and checking surrounding areas Responding to alarms Ensuring that all incidents are properly recorded in the occurrence log/incident form Contacting and liaising with police personnel if necessary Closely observe parking lots, stations, and platforms to eliminate as much as possible and report any occurrences immediately. Provide superior customer service to clients and general public. Maintain ongoing knowledge of and perform all duties with high safety standards. Assisting with scheduling and payroll duties as needed. Your Must-Haves: To be successful you must have resided in Canada for the last five years and not been out of the country for more than six months at a time in order to complete required security clearances. Have demonstrated interest and experience in serving the public. Hold a valid BC Security License and Occupational First Aid Level 1 or be willing to obtain one. Hold a valid Class 5 BC Driver’s license. Have a clean driver’s abstract. Fluent English written and verbal skills. Positive attitude with professional demeanor and strong interpersonal/customer service skills. Excellent attention to detail to fulfill job duties and incident report writing. Excellent problem solving skills and ability to handle emergency situations in a calm and professional manner. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in varying situations. Our guards are not only behind the scenes providing security and access control, but front and centre providing valued customer service to the public. We are currently recruiting for a site based in the Tri Cities area, beginning in Pitt Meadows. We are seeking site spares and casual workers.

Exigences

Candidates must hold a valid BC Security License, a Class 5 BC Driver's license, and Occupational First Aid Level 1. Must have resided in Canada for the last five years to meet security clearance requirements.
