Posting ID: 2523 - this recruitment is for an existing vacancy Department: Office of the CAO Division: Clerk's Office Position Type: Student Co-op; to be eligible for a student position, the applicant must be enrolled in a secondary school, college, or university programme, in a full-time capacity. Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week: regular schedule is 8:30 am - 4:00 pm onsite/in-person; flexibility of hours may be required. This student position is available from early September until the end of December. Work Location: Administration Centre, Guelph; the County of Wellington is an employer that provides service onsite. Vacancies: 1 Application Deadline: 08/18/2026 BASIC FUNCTION This position reports to the County Clerk and will support the Clerk's Office team with administration of programmes and services. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES Under the supervision of the County Clerk, the Clerk’s and Information Management Co-op Student has the following duties and responsibilities: * Research and recommend solutions to enhance the efficiency and modernization of existing systems and processes according to established standards. * Use Drupal, an open-source content management system (CMS), to assist in the editing of web content on the new corporate website. * Filing electronic documents in the County’s SharePoint Online document management system. * Inventory and organization of physical files. * Responding to front line office inquiries either through monitoring inboxes or answering incoming phone calls. * Perform other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * Currently enrolled in University or College Co-op Programme in a full-time capacity, preferably with a focus in Political Science, Public Administration, Information Management or related field such as Library and Information Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science and/or Business Administration. * Experience editing and publishing content on a website platform. * Computer proficiency with working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database software applications and electronic file management. * Working knowledge SharePoint is considered an asset. * Working knowledge of Drupal, or other open-source CMS, is considered an asset. * Knowledge in Adobe Acrobat is preferred. * A valid driver’s licence (minimum G2 Class) and access to a reliable vehicle. Pay Range: $28.88 - $37.13 (2026 Student Compensation Grid) Pension: As a non-full-time (NFT) employee of an OMERS employer, you are eligible to elect to join the OMERS Pension Plan at any time. Enrollment in OMERS is voluntary. Vacation: Paid out on each pay at the rate of six percent. Parking: Provided; taxable benefit provisions apply. Mileage: If applicable, as per CRA allowances.
