Our main office is located in Whitehorse, Yukon, on the territories of the Kwanlin Dün First Nation and the Ta’an Kwäch’än Council. FNSB serves and works in partnership with Vuntut Gwitchin First Nation, Liard First Nation, Ross River Dena Council, Champagne and Aishihik First Nation, White River First Nation, Ta'an Kwäch'än Council, Kwanlin Dün First Nation, Selkirk First Nation, Carcross/Tagish First Nation, and Kluane First Nation for the schools and Learners on their territories. Our approach to instruction, programming, and operations promotes reconciliation by being grounding in Yukon First Nations values of student-centered, strengths-based, and community-led. Working under the Director of Policy and Communications, the position supports the Community Committee Advisor, and the broader leadership team with governance planning, meeting coordination, documentation, records management, communications, and day-to-day administrative requirements. The role is responsible for ensuring Community Committees and FNSB leadership are well prepared and supported through timely meeting packages, minutes, correspondence, logistics, and follow-up. The Governance Administrator also contributes to the smooth operation of the FNSB office by providing general administrative support, and serving as a backup first point of contact for staff and visitors. The position requires strong organization, discretion, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across FNSB schools, communities, leadership, and departments, while ensuring governance practices reflect FNSB values and respect the histories, cultures, customs, and priorities of local First Nations communities.
