We're looking for a Driver Guide with a Class 4 Commercial License Do you enjoy being on the road, providing exceptional customer service, and helping travellers have a safe and memorable experience? We're looking for a reliable and professional Driver with a valid Class 4 Commercial License to safely transport our travellers while delivering outstanding service throughout their journey. Every day will be different, but every day you will: Provide amazing customer service and travel advise, whether it's leading a group on a hiking trail, supporting local Indigenous communities and businesses, or arranging a group meal in a new destination, you'll create unforgettable moments for our travellers. Ensure the safety and well-being of your travellers, at times you will have to assist in difficult situations while remaining calm and professional. A traveller may lose their passport, need medical attention, or there may be a clash of personalities, and you will be the first point of call. Host, lead and execute tours to budget, following the itinerary and fulfil your administrative duties. Be passionate about travel and share your love of it with our customers. Every step of the way you’ll embody our core values of Ambitious, Impactful, Real and Together! To be considered you must have: Excellent communication in English. Excels in collaborating with a remote team, managing extended periods between in-person interactions, and demonstrates strong independent problem-solving skills. Experience driving a fifteen-passenger vehicle (with trailer). Strong customer service experience and experience in developing a rapport with a broad range of travellers. Have travel experience across Canada and are passionate about sharing your region with our travellers! Have basic computer skills – including email, work, and excel experience Ability to operate lodge-based and camping road trips safely and successfully in various regions of Canada Must possess strong, above-average critical thinking skills; you’re the type of person who knows how to “figure it out” This role requires a valid Commercial Class 4 (or provincial equivalent that legally permits the transportation of paying passengers). Please note: A Class 5/G licence is not sufficient. A Class 1/AZ, Class A, DZ or other truck/commercial licence does not automatically qualify unless it also permits the transportation of paying passengers. If you hold an international driver's licence, it must already be officially recognized as the equivalent passenger-carrying commercial licence in the province where you will be working. We are unable to assess or convert international licences during the recruitment process.If you're unsure whether your licence qualifies, please check with your provincial licensing authority before applying. What you need to know: This is a seasonal position with the expectation that you are available to work for the entirety of peak season (May- October). You will need a few certificates prior to starting with us including a IGA Certification (2 Interpretative Guide and Group Management Course), 16 hour First Aid Certificate, Standard CPR-C Certificate, Leave No Trace Online Awareness, Food Safe (preferred, not required), Driver's License Abstract, valid Passport and a Driver’s License- Class 4 Commercial Unrestricted with up to date medical. Consent to pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing as well as a criminal background check. With extended hours, lots of walking and activities, and engaging with travellers, so, it’s important that you are prepared both mentally and physically for the challenge! You’ll need the ability to travel and spend time away from home, as our leaders often travel for extensive periods at a time.
