We are guided by the Human Rights Code of Ontario and abide by strict anti-oppression and anti-harassment policies.Job DescriptionThe eligible candidate must be between the age of 15 and 30 years old.Must be legally permitted to work in Canada as a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or a person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the immigration Refugee Protection Act.The eligible candidate will work for 8 weeks, 35 hours per week from June 29, 2026.The wage is $17.60 per hour.The candidate will report into the Executive Director.Deadline to apply: June 22, 2026Key Responsibilities:Assist with general office duties including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and greeting members, volunteers, and visitorsOrganize and maintain digital and physical files, databases, and organizational recordsSchedule appointments, coordinate meetings, and prepare meeting agendas and minutesSupport preparation of organizational reports, correspondence, presentations, and internal documentsAssist staff with registration of participants for programs, workshops, and eventsMaintain attendance records, collect evaluations, and help compile data for reportsSupport coordination of program logistics, including room setup, materials, and technology needsRespond to inquiries from members, volunteers, and community partnersAssist with membership renewals, onboarding, and communicationHelp maintain volunteer records and send reminders, updates, or follow-up communicationsAssist in preparing materials for workshops, meetings, and special eventsHelp coordinate in-person and online events, including participant check-in and technical setupHelp prepare cheque requisition forms and ensure documents are complete before submitting to finance personnelProvide support with social media posts, announcements, and promotional materials as requiredCommunicate program information to participants, partners, and the community via email, phone, and in personQualificationsExcellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and FarsiPost-secondary student or recent graduate in Business Administration, Office Administration, Communications, or a related fieldPrevious administrative, office support, or customer service experience (professional, academic, or volunteer)Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage files, records, and multiple administrative processes efficientlyExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and courteous approach to emails, phone calls, and in-person interactionsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with Google Workspace toolsExperience coordinating meetings, scheduling, and preparing agendas and minutesHigh attention to detail, particularly in data entry, record-keeping, and document preparationAbility to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalismComfortable supporting event logistics, including both in-person and virtual formats (e.g., Zoom, Google Meet)Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with members, volunteers, and community partnersAbility to work independently while also supporting a collaborative team environmentExperience with databases, CRM systems, or registration platforms is an assetFamiliarity with basic bookkeeping or financial processes (e.g., cheque requisitions, documentation) is an assetWillingness to assist with occasional outreach, communications, and light social media supportInterest in nonprofit, community-based work, and supporting diverse populations is strongly preferredWe thank all applicants for their interest; however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted. Exigences
