PILOT Fredericton, NB | Seasonal (April-September) | Reports to Chief Pilot * Air Tractor AT-802 * Air Tractor AT-802 Fire Boss * Cessna C208 Caravan Fly with purpose. Protect what matters. Join Team FPL and be part of a specialized aviation team supporting wildfire suppression, forest management and aerial operations across Canada. WHY FLY WITH FPL? * Fly specialized aircraft in wildfire suppression and aerial operations. * Work with an experienced aviation team supporting provincial and national wildfire response. * Build your skills through robust initial training and ongoing in-season practice missions. * Operate a modern fleet equipped with advanced avionics. * Make an impact protecting what matters most. WHAT YOU'LL DO * Work as a member of an air tanker team operating in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. * Support national firefighting efforts during deployments to jurisdictions around Canada. * Participate in aerial application projects, as applicable. * Pilots work in a team environment that can involve extended periods of daily fire standby, long operational days and deployments depending on wildfire conditions. WHAT YOU BRING REQUIREMENTS * A valid Commercial Pilot License – Fixed Wing * Recent flying experience within the previous 12 months * Legal entitlement to work in Canada * A valid driver's license * A valid passport * The ability to communicate clearly in English * The ability to obtain a Criminal Record Check * Low-level operational experience (fire suppression, Ag, survey) is an asset QUALIFICATIONS AT-802 - Fire Boss * 2,500 hours PIC * 1,000 hours turbine * 200 hours in an Air Tractor or similar turbine-powered agricultural-style aircraft, or 500 hours float experience * Amphibious experience is an asset * Valid IFR is an asset AT-802 - Wheeled * 1,500 hours PIC * 300 hours tailwheel * Air Tractor or similar turbine-powered agricultural aircraft experience is an asset * Valid IFR is an asset Cessna C208 – Bird Dog * 2,000 hours PIC * 1,000 hours turbine * Valid IFR * Experience in a Cessna C208 or aircraft equipped with Garmin G1000 NXi is preferred WHAT WE OFFER * Competitive salary and flight pay * Competitive benefits package * Robust initial training program * In-season weekly practice and training missions * Modern fleet with state-of-the-art avionics * The opportunity to grow your aviation experience while making an impact ABOUT FPL Established in 1952, Forest Protection Limited is a Canadian aviation and forest management organization headquartered in Fredericton, New Brunswick.
