The incumbent will support the OMVIC Project Office by managing student records, processing grades, and performing data entry in the Student Information System. They will also act as a frontline resource to provide information and respond to inquiries from students, dealerships, and licensing offices.
Department: OMVIC Campus: Barrie Classification: Support Staff Posting Date: September 18, 2026 Hourly pay range: $ 17.95 – $23.05 per hour Hours per week: Up to 24 hours per week (Current hours anticipated to be 24 hours per week) Status: Part-time (Temporary) Effective Date: ASAP – March 31, 2027 Reporting to the OMVIC Project Manager, the incumbent will support the OMVIC Project Office by providing registrations, customer service, grade processing, and administrative details associated with the project. Creating student records create student accounts into the Student Information System (Banner) and inputting grades Acting as a frontline resource to provide information about the certification course process and responding to enquiries from students, OMVIC, licensing bureau offices, and dealerships Recordkeeping and data entry through AppXtender Assisting with sending packages and supplying necessary manuals / course access information QUALIFICATIONS: Successfully completed a one-year post secondary certificate or diploma in a relevant field of study such as Business or Office Administration At least 6 months experience in a front-line office environment Post Secondary (College) work experience would be considered an asset Excellent computer skills: MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook and Internet Strong organization/communication skills (Oral/Written) with the ability to problem solve quickly in a professional manner Demonstrate strong interpersonal and customer service skills with proven public relations abilities Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle unusually high volumes of work with composure and confidence Ability to work independently and as part of a team Georgian College supports diversity, equity and a workplace free from harassment and discrimination and is committed to an inclusive, barrier-free environment.
