ETRM Business Analyst

Pay Range: CAD 80-90/hr We are seeking an experienced ETRM Business Analyst (BA) to support a major ETRM platform upgrade/implementation initiative within the energy trading sector. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with ETRM platforms such as Allegro, Endur, Triple Point, or similar solutions, combined with a solid understanding of energy trading and risk management business processes. This role will serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders, IT, QA teams, vendors, and project teams to ensure successful delivery of system upgrades and testing activities. Key Responsibilities Support upgrade planning, requirements validation, and business readiness activities. Conduct requirements analysis and impact assessments for ETRM system upgrades. Coordinate test planning activities with business stakeholders and QA leads. Lead and coordinate System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities. Manage defects, test results, and issue tracking in partnership with QA teams. Facilitate issue resolution and business decision-making throughout the testing lifecycle. Coordinate business sign-offs for testing milestones, requirements validation, and production readiness. Document functional, operational, and process impacts resulting from system upgrades. Update business process maps, procedures, training materials, and supporting documentation. Support cutover planning, go-live readiness, deployment activities, and hypercare support. Track and manage risks, issues, action items, dependencies, and stakeholder communications. Act as a liaison between business users, IT teams, vendors, and project stakeholders. Required Skills & Experience 6–8 years of experience in Business Analysis. Hands-on experience with ETRM platforms such as: Allegro Endur Triple Point Other similar Energy Trading and Risk Management solutions Experience supporting ETRM implementation, migration, or upgrade projects. Strong understanding of energy trading and risk management processes, preferably within Power and Gas markets. Expertise in: Requirements gathering and validation Impact analysis Business process mapping Functional documentation Experience coordinating SIT and UAT activities. Proficiency with Azure DevOps, Jira, or other test and defect management tools. Experience working on large-scale Energy, Utilities, or Commodity Trading projects. Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and facilitation skills. Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams including Business, IT, QA, Vendors, and Project Management teams.

The role involves supporting ETRM platform upgrades by conducting requirements analysis, impact assessments, and coordinating testing activities like SIT and UAT. Additionally, the candidate will manage defects, document process impacts, and act as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams.

Candidates must have 6–8 years of business analysis experience with a strong background in ETRM platforms such as Allegro, Endur, or Triple Point. Expertise in energy trading processes and proficiency with tools like Azure DevOps or Jira is required.
