Event Security Supervisor (Temporary Contract) **Position Details**: Position: Event Security Supervisor Site: Downtown Halifax Pay Rate: $21.00 *This is a temporary contract for the month of June. Successful applicants may be considered for future permanent openings.* **Shift Supervisors are responsible for:** - Directing employees to perform to the standards of Paladin's policies and procedures - Ensuring employees have and retain knowledge of the site operations - Ensuring their team is made aware of and understand any Paladin issued memo/announcement - Ensuring contractual obligations are met - such as no time loss on site. Addressing lateness, absences, and covering shifts as needed - Responding to all emergencies; taking command of the situation - Ensuring the health and safety of staff as it pertains to training on Paladin's Occupational Health and Safety Policies and Procedures and reporting any incidents that occur during their shift - Dealing with disciplinary issues that arise on site, including completion of meetings and paperwork. **YOU’RE A GREAT FIT IF YOU:** - Are able to stand for up to 12 hours - Are able to walk and patrolling the area - Are able to work outdoors in all weather types - Have previous Supervisory experience - Standard/Intermediate First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a CSA-approved vendor) - Ability to obtain a provincial Security License - English (oral and written) fluency is a must
