Housekeeping - Common Area & Commercial Cleaning (Winter)

You are an essential part of the housekeeping team. As Common & Commercial Attendant, you will ensure the cleanliness of the specified common and commercial areas by maintaining a schedule of regular walk-throughs of your building(s) and completing touchups as needed or any other duties as specified. Essential Functions: Establish and maintain a positive and fun work environment. Keep lines of communication open! Must meet or exceed productivity thresholds relative to pre-determined time allotments and quality standards for specific areas by Management. Participate in all Occupational Health and Safety standards set for the department. Ensure all Common / Commercial contracts are being met and exceeded! Sweep, mop & wash floors Wash windows, walls, fixtures & appliances Vacuum carpeting & dust surrounding areas. Clean & disinfect public areas such as kitchens, washrooms, change rooms & elevators. Pick up debris and empty trash containers. Attend guest’s requests for extra supplies & providing basic information on resort. Experience/Requirements: Previous hospitality background preferred. Completion of high school diploma or equivalent. WHIMIS Must be able to work with cleaning chemicals and be able to wear latex or non-latex gloves when using chemicals. Must possess safe work habits with an awareness of safe work procedures. Must be able to work flexible shifts, weekends, holidays. Must be highly motivated. Able to multi-task, work well under stress and meet targeted deadlines. Must be flexible and adaptable under changing conditions, priorities, and unexpected situations. While performing the duties of this job, you are regularly required to sit, stand; walk; climb stairs; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, and bend.

Maintain the cleanliness of common and commercial areas through regular walk-throughs, cleaning, and disinfecting. Ensure all cleaning contracts are met while attending to guest requests for supplies and information.

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and WHMIS certification. Candidates must be able to work flexible shifts and perform physically demanding tasks involving cleaning chemicals.
