Experience with end-to-end integration testing in automated environments. Experience creating and debugging J2EE REST Web Services, gRPC-based services, and Web Applications. Experience designing and developing complex, multi-tier software solutions. Strong knowledge of Java/JEE, Spring Framework including Spring Boot, and Maven. Experience writing unit tests with JUnit and Mockito. Database experience including Oracle and SQL scripting. Experience working with JBoss and/or Apache Tomcat. Experience with Git. Ability to write Java-based Kafka consumers for testing; main focus is API and integration testing rather than Kafka-only testing. Ability to troubleshoot complex enterprise applications independently. Comfortable working in a Linux environment, including VI editor and general command-line proficiency. In-memory grids such as Pivotal GemFire/Grid. Containerized environments such as Kubernetes, OpenShift, or CloudFoundry. Integration frameworks such as Apache Camel or Spring Integration. Overview Join the Operations & Technology Fraud Products team developing new capabilities for Client’s Decision Management Platform, the core platform supporting multiple business solutions for fraud prevention and cardholder identity validation. The patented Java-based platform processes billions of transactions per month in tens of milliseconds using a multi-tiered, message-oriented approach designed for high performance and availability. This role focuses on delivering industry-leading fraud solutions, accelerating business solutions to market, and innovating with cutting-edge technologies to address challenging business problems. The position requires strong Java development and automated API/integration testing expertise, along with the ability to work across complex enterprise applications and technologies. The successful candidate will contribute throughout the full software development lifecycle, support production issues, participate in technical evaluations and proofs of concept, improve engineering standards and processes, and mentor and train team members. The role requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional who can work independently under pressure while collaborating effectively with technical leads and geographically distributed teams. Job Duties Deliver software solutions through direct development. Work with technical leads on project design and implementation tasks. Provide production support as a subject matter expert for incidents and problem tickets. Plan, design, and develop technical solutions and alternatives that meet business requirements and Client standards, processes, and best practices. Lead day-to-day system development and maintenance activities to meet SLAs and deliver innovative, cost-effective, high-quality solutions with faster time to market. Manage the full systems development lifecycle, including requirements documents, use cases, design and technical artifacts, test strategies and designs, performance benchmarking, release and deployment plans, contingency/back-out plans, feasibility studies, cost and time analysis, and detailed estimates. Participate in Proofs of Concept and assist with selection of vendor solutions, technologies, methodologies, and application frameworks. Conduct brownbag sessions on new and emerging technologies, methodologies, and application frameworks. Provide technical training to team members. Identify opportunities to enhance standards and improve process efficiency. Mentor and guide team members throughout all phases of the SDLC. Perform quality inspections and walkthroughs throughout the SDLC, including requirements, design, code, and security reviews. Ensure compliance with Client and PCI standards. Develop and maintain Java-based Kafka consumers for testing where required.
