Community Support Worker (Casual) — Evenings & Overnights (6-month contract) Ruth and Naomi’s Community Outreach Centre Ruth and Naomi’s (RAN) is a Christian faith-based organization dedicated to transforming the lives of people experiencing homelessness, poverty, and addiction through the love of God. We walk alongside individuals with hope, grace, and trust, fostering a safe and supportive community where everyone matters. We are currently seeking Casual Community Support Workers to join our team on mostly evening and overnight shifts for a 6-month contract. This role supports our Pathways and Revive Shelter programs at our Community Outreach Facility, a 24-hour shelter providing meals, shelter, and vital support services to vulnerable individuals. What you’ll do: Create a welcoming, positive, faith-based environment that reflects our values of Grace, Hope, and People. Perform regular safety and security checks to ensure a clean, safe space for clients. Connect clients with community resources and support their needs with respect and dignity. Respond calmly and effectively to challenging situations, maintaining professional boundaries at all times. Complete thorough documentation and communication for each shift. Assist with cleaning, maintenance reports, and seasonal client care. Who you are: Grade 12 or equivalent; post-secondary training in Human or Community Services is an asset. Experience working with vulnerable populations in emotionally demanding environments. First Aid/CPR Level 1, Naloxone training, and Class 5 Driver’s License preferred.
