School District No.43 (Coquitlam) Invites Applications For 1.0 Temporary School Counsellor: (Gleneagle Secondary) School District No.43 (Coquitlam) is the third largest school district in BC with approximately 4,400 employees and 32,000 students in 70 schools. We serve the communities of Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody, and the villages of Anmore and Belcarra. Our six-year completion rates are well above the provincial average and some of the highest in BC. Overall, we are #1 in the Metro Vancouver region and #2 in BC. Coquitlam School District is accepting applications from candidates for the position of Temporary 1.0 Counsellor at Gleneagle Secondary from September 8, 2026 to April 30, 2027. Please note that this position comes with full benefits. Required Qualifications Successful applicants must possess the appropriate education, training and or experience. Relevant teaching/counselling experience Masters degree in counselling or counselling psychology, with a completed, supervised practicum. Certification with the British Columbia Teacher Regulation Branch required Please ensure the following documents are included with your application: Resume/ Cover Letter Certificate of counselling qualifications Certification with the Teacher Regulation Branch (TRB) We require two administrator references (principal/vice principal or equivalent) and one must be from your current/most recent direct supervisor. You do not need written reference letters as we will conduct our own reference checks. We appreciate your interest but regret that only those candidates selected for an interview will be contacted. The deliberations of employees, and Committees used to screen and consider job applications, shall be kept in strict confidence, and shall not be disclosed to any person except as required by law. Exigences
