SIEL Human Solutions on behalf of our client Saskpro Industries Ltd. is hiring a Full-Time Machinist or Experienced Machinist Apprentice. Reporting to the GM and Team Lead, if you’re a seasoned Machinist with 3-5 years of experience, OR an experienced Apprentice with a mechanical or industrial background who approaches work with a positive attitude, takes pride in their work and seeks to build a meaningful career, this role is for you! What You'll Do: Execute complex, custom manual machining projects requiring precision and attention to detail. Responsible for on-site machining on behalf of Saskpro at customer locations. Perform some CNC machining. Collaborate with colleagues and clients to determine practical solutions to required results. Participate in project discussions, contributing ideas on equipment and processes. Maintain required records and documentation. Support team member training and development. Growth into a recognized specialist with increasing responsibility and customer involvement. Work safely and uphold Saskpro’s quality standards and team culture. Varied hours when required for on-site projects. What You Bring: A Journeyperson Machinist, experienced Machinist Apprentice, or Tradesperson Machinist with 3-5 years of experience preferred, but not required. Other industry-experienced candidates with machining or machining-related practice may be considered. Prioritize mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills to understand both the “how” and the “why.” Technical knowledge. A positive attitude and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Ability to represent Saskpro in a professional manner onsite and offsite at customers’ locations. Accountable for high-quality work in a safe, respectful environment. Willing to learn and share ideas, with a genuine long-term interest in growing with the company. Open to long-term career development and company-paid training to become a certified Journeyperson/Red Seal. Willing and able to travel for on-site projects.
