As a Dietary Aide you will do meaningful work everyday ensuring a safe and clean environment for residents’. As an individual and part of a wider team, you will be a strong contributor to the culture of the home, where the focus is always on helping residents live fully, every day. How You’ll Succeed 1. Food Preparation & Food Handling · Assist with the preparation of meals, and serving meals · Follow residents' diets and food preferences · Take the menu orders from the residents · Set and clear tables in the dining rooms and ensure they are sanitized · Ensure you are following proper food handling techniques Who You Are · Have a valid Safe Food Handler’s Certificate or willing to obtain · You are committed to providing compassionate support that provides seniors to live their lives to the fullest · You are detailed-oriented coupled with strong customer service skills enabling you to effectively communicate with residents and staff · You may bring experience in food service from institutional, healthcare, restaurant, or hospitality · While possessing a Food Service Worker Certificate would be excellent, it’s not a requirement · You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work permit · You must successfully pass a Vulnerable Sector Check and/or Criminal Record Check applicable to the appropriate province Sienna Senior Living may utilize artificial intelligence to screen or assess applicants for this position Sienna Senior Living is committed to employment equity, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace. Exigences
Candidates must have a valid Safe Food Handler's Certificate or be willing to obtain one and pass a Vulnerable Sector Check. Legal eligibility to work in Canada is required, and experience in institutional or hospitality food service is an asset.
