Squamish Nation is seeking a Jordan's Principle Service Administrative Support professional to join the Ayás Mén̓men Child & Family Support Services Department within the Nexwnínlhewá7nem Ch'áwch’aw People Services Division. Reporting to the Manager of Early Intervention Services, this role provides critical administrative and program support for Jordan's Principle services, helping Indigenous children and families access health, social, and educational supports while ensuring funding, reporting, and service coordination processes are managed effectively. Working closely with Indigenous Services Canada, service providers, community partners, and families, you will play an important role in helping remove barriers and ensuring children receive the supports they need when they need them. WHAT YOU’LL DO * Coordinate payments for approved Jordan's Principle requests in accordance with program guidelines, policies, and procedures. * Maintain budgets, process invoices, and support financial tracking using Excel and budget management systems. * Collect, analyze, and maintain funding and program data to support reporting requirements. * Collaborate with Indigenous Services Canada, service providers, community organizations, and Indigenous families to support service delivery and program awareness. * Provide administrative support to the Jordan's Principle Service Coordinator and broader program activities. * Maintain accurate records and databases related to requests, approvals, services, and payments. * Prepare funder reports and assist with ongoing reporting requirements in collaboration with leadership and finance teams. * Schedule appointments, assessments, therapy sessions, transportation, meetings, and travel arrangements for families and program staff. * Assist with community outreach, information sharing, and initiatives that increase awareness of Jordan's Principle and available supports. * Support project tracking, budget preparation, and administrative reporting. * Contribute to a positive, collaborative Child & Family Services team environment and perform additional duties as required. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR * Diploma in Office Administration, Office Management, or a related field from a recognized post-secondary institution. Education related to Social Work, Child and Family Services, or Human Services is an asset. * 2–3 years of related experience in administration, childcare, social services, case management, or similar support roles. * Experience supporting service coordination, client intake, or case management activities. * Experience with Microsoft Office applications and administrative systems. * Knowledge of social, economic, and political issues affecting First Nations communities. * Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to explain complex information clearly and compassionately. * High emotional intelligence, patience, integrity, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality. * Positive, collaborative, and team-oriented approach to work. * Knowledge and understanding of Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw history, culture, customs, land, and people is preferred.
