We have an immediate opening for a Contract (1-Year, temporary full-time) Apprentice Aircraft Maintenance Engineer “M”, with potential to extend or convert to permanent full-time employment for the Langley Operations Department. This position will be based out of the Langley facility, British Columbia and will report to the Crew Chief. What you’ll do Perform Aircraft Maintenance services on a variety of helicopter types Conduct light to heavy repairs Carry our maintenance, recurring inspections and calendar inspections. Troubleshooting and ensuring operational performance and standards of the entire aircraft Recording work on Company build sheets or applicable forms Following established maintenance techniques and adhering to standard practices Placing basic parts orders Assists other mechanics with troubleshooting In depth knowledge of processes May assist Lead Hand, as required May have contact with customers Required Qualifications Formal, Transport Canada–recognized AME training (BCIT or equivalent accredited program) Understanding of Canadian Aviation Regulations Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience through formal training, personal projects, school labs, or previous work (e.g., use of hand tools, measuring tools, basic disassembly/assembly, interpreting mechanical drawings) Must be legally authorized to work in Canada on a permanent basis. Preferred Characteristics Experience with maintenance and installation preferably on AS 332 Super Puma and/or AS350 Aircraft is an asset AME “M” license considered a strong asset Thorough understanding of all technical documents such as: technical bulletins, alert service bulletins, etc. Ability to work effectively independently or as part of a team. Willing to work overtime.
