The team The Ted Rogers School of Management's Diversity Institute at Toronto Metropolitan University was founded in 1999 to improve equity, diversity and inclusion practices in organizations. The Diversity Institute develops customized strategies, programming, and resources to promote new, interdisciplinary knowledge and practice about diversity with respect to gender, race/ethnicity, Indigenous peoples, abilities, and sexual orientation. It collaborates with industry, government, not-for-profits, and academics. Ted Rogers School of Management at Toronto Metropolitan University (TRSM) is developing collaborative, creative leaders who will drive 21st century business forward while making a positive impact on society. The Opportunity The Diversity Institute is looking for a seasoned professional with program management experience preferably in Equity, Diversity and Inclusion programs. Be a part of several initiatives, programs and research programs at the Diversity Institute which seek to advance EDI in organizations in Canada. Does this sound like you? The Program Manager plans, develops, manages, administers, communicates about, and reports on research-related Diversity Institute (DI) programs and events initiatives. They ensure that DI research programs accomplish funded objectives and meet the needs of participants through flexible and accessible delivery modes. The Program Manager collaborates with multiple partners internally and externally to ensure the DI research program area offers current, relevant and innovative programs, and to develop programming to promote and measure program and research impact. Qualifications To help us learn more about you, please provide a cover letter and resume describing how you meet the following required qualifications: Completion of a post secondary degree program in Business, Communications, Education or a related field. Master’s degree preferred. Five years’ experience in program management/coordination or a related field. Experience in an academic institution preferred. Experience managing workplans, invoicing and budgeting, and client relationship management for large projects. Experience in management and administration, including monitoring and overseeing program budgets. Experience managing events and community engagement sessions including leading outreach and communications. Leadership, management and communication skills in the area of program development and delivery. Demonstrated ability to effectively engage in in a process of program assessment, planning, implementation, knowledge sharing and evaluation. Strong writing, editing and presentation skills. Knowledge of educational best practices and trends. Equivalent experience or a combination of equivalent experience and education may be accepted in place of education.
