Advanced First Aid/Camp Cook

Job description: Head Cook with OFA 3 Certification wanted! Chu Cho Industries LP (CCI) is currently recruiting for an experienced Camp Cook to work at remote work camps. The successful candidate will possess the knowledge, experience and skill set required to complete assigned tasks in a safe, productive and professional manner. The vacancy for which we are recruiting requires AFA/OFA 3 Certification. In this role, the Head Cook will be working a rotational schedule one one of our client's sites. The Head Cook will be the sole cook and level 3 first aid on site, and will be responsible for providing crews with meals and first aid services when required. CCI is looking for someone with at least a moderate level of remote camp cook experience who can handle all aspects in the kitchen. Job Description: Camp cooking on a two week on, two week off schedule Train staff in preparation and handling of food Supervise kitchen staff and helpers Order supplies and equipment Manage kitchen operations Inspect kitchens and food service areas Clean kitchen and work areas Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods Plan menus, determine portions size, estimate food requirements and costs Must be reliable and responsible Requirements: Resume. Including relevant experience and personal / professional references. Copy of Valid Class 5 BC Drivers License. Food Safe Level I or II Red Seal Certified or equivalent Strong communication skills Advanced First Aid is required Wage incentive for OFA Level 3 Certification. The Head Cook is responsible for managing all kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and inventory management for remote crews. Additionally, the role serves as the sole on-site Level 3 First Aid provider to deliver emergency medical services.

Candidates must possess OFA Level 3/Advanced First Aid certification and a valid Class 5 BC Driver's License. Red Seal certification or equivalent and Food Safe Level I or II are also required or preferred.
