Uses a wide range of translated primary Japanese texts to illuminate the emergence of cultural forms and their conjunction with social, economic, religious, and political trends. Estimated course enrolment: 60 students Estimated TA support: N/A Class schedule: In-person lectures Wednesdays 3pm-5pm Sessional dates of appointment: January 1, 2027 – April 30, 2027 Salary: Sessional Lecturer I - $$9,997.48Sessional Lecturer I (Long Term) - $10,699.22Sessional Lecturer II - $10,699.22Sessional Lecturer II (Long Term) - $10,953.96Sessional Lecturer III - $10,953.96Sessional Lecturers III (Long Term) - $11,228.90 Please note that should the rates stipulated in the collective agreement vary from the rates stated in this posting, the rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail. Minimum qualifications: Completed MA in areas related to the course required or equivalent education combined with teaching experience; ability to clearly communicate information required; willingness to replicate the pedagogy and evaluation techniques employed in the regular teaching of this course required; Preferred qualifications: Ph.D. in areas related to the course preferred; experience in language teaching at the university level preferred with evidence of superior teaching evaluations.
