About the Role We’re seeking enthusiastic and dependable Entry-Level Coaches to support the development of athletes in our U6, U8, and U10 programs. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about working with young athletes, fostering foundational skills, and creating a fun, safe, and inclusive environment on the hill. As an Entry-Level Coach, you will work under the guidance of the Head Coach and alongside the broader coaching team to deliver high-quality, athlete-centered programming aligned with Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD) principles. Key Responsibilities Athlete Coaching & Development Assist in delivering engaging on-snow training sessions focused on skill development, confidence, and enjoyment. Support athletes in developing fundamental skiing abilities, coordination, and teamwork. Provide encouragement and basic feedback to help athletes progress. Ensure a safe, inclusive, and positive training environment at all times. Program Support Follow session plans provided by the Head Coach and contribute to a consistent coaching approach. Assist with group management, transitions, and maintaining athlete engagement. Support athlete participation in club events and local competitions as appropriate. Team Collaboration Work collaboratively with Head Coaches and fellow coaches to ensure smooth program delivery. Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and coach development opportunities. Represent the club in a professional and positive manner. Communication & Administration Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and coaching staff. Assist with basic attendance tracking and program logistics as required. Support equipment setup and teardown as needed. Requirements Qualifications Entry-level coaching certification (or willingness to obtain). Current SafeSport certification (or ability to obtain before season start). First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain). Previous experience working with children in sport, recreation, or instructional settings is an asset. A team-first mindset and collaborative approach. Passion for developing young athletes and creating a fun environment. Working Conditions On-snow coaching in variable winter conditions. Weekend and holiday work during the ski season. Outdoor, physically active role requiring sustained energy and engagement.
