Scope of the Position: Responsible for the planning and management of inventory for the CDCs and Branches. The planner ensures an adequate supply of product to service customer needs while minimizing working inventory investment by assessing demand activity. The planner will reflect demand changes in our planning systems to ensure high accuracy of forecast needs and ensure accuracy in inventory records, item usage history, and forecasting files. * Internal Replenishment * Inventory Management * Demand Management * Inventory & Purchasing Master Data Management Key Responsibilities: * Scheduling and Execution of Replenishment from CDC to: o Branch Network o Service Centers o On-site/Shutdown Trailers o Mobile Service Trucks * Surplus Stock Realignment between Branches, CDC, and Regions * Demand Forecasting/Management for Branches and CDC o New/Lost Business o Shutdown Planning Spring/Fall o Seasonal Product o Product change * Ensuring Locations Achieve Desired Customer Service Levels and Fill Rates * Perform Inventory Risk Assessment for: o Flyer/Product Promotions o New Product Launch o Quantity Break Buys o On-time Large Discount Buys o Seasonal Product Booking Buys * ERP Master Data is Maintained and Accurate for: o Product Master o Warehouse Product Master (Ordering Controls/Product Status/Safety Stock) o Warehouse Product Demand History Master o Product Line Master (Buy Lines) o Product Extended Unit Conversion Master (Units of Measure) o Extended Product Cross Reference Master (Supersedes/Subs) o Replenishment Master (Inventory Business Rule/Algorithm Table) * Resolve Unit of Measure Issues * Schedule Inventory/Purchasing Reports are On-time and Exceptions Reviewed: o Inventory Month End Processing o Monthly Average Inventory Calculation Report o Inventory Classifcation and Rank o Monthly Buy Line Review Cycle Calculation Report Qualifications Required Qualifications: * Possess excellent Microsoft Excel skills * Thorough knowledge of the Infor SXe system * Knowledge for Slimstock or Gains * Familiar with Cognos * Good time management and communication skills are a must * Detail oriented * Logical and analytical thinker * Ability to analyze large amounts of data and provide solutions to inventory loss issues and to increase inventory accuracy. * Ability to work alone and in a team environment * 5 Years+ Experience in Supply Chain
