Scaffolder, Journeyperson - Adhoc

Wood is recruiting for Journeyperson Scaffolders – Adhoc (Casual /Temporary) to join its Operations team focusing on the oil and gas petrochemical industry. This opportunity is offshore Newfoundland and Labrador, working on an as needed, call-out basis. As a Journeyperson Scaffolder, you will plan, erect, build, maintain and repair temporary work structures and platforms to provide workers with safe and secure access to the job face. You will also be constructing, fabricating, erecting and repairing permanent and temporary structures on the worksite by using power tools, rigging equipment, and hand tools. This role will be responsible for planning and executing scaffolding activities in accordance with drawings and specifications, while working at heights, as well as noisy conditions which may be indoors or outdoors, and at extreme temperatures. As a Journeyperson Scaffolder, you will plan, erect, build, maintain, and repair temporary work structures and platforms. You will also construct, fabricate, erect, and repair permanent and temporary structures on the worksite.

Candidates must have completed a minimum of 1600 hours of relevant on-the-job experience and possess Journeyperson training credentials. Offshore certificates such as Basic Survival Training and Fall Protection are required and considered assets.
