The Land Management Branch is an effective steward of public land for the benefit of current and future generations of all Yukon people. As part of the Land Use team, the Land Use Officer leads the review and analysis of permit applications for the use of public land. The position provides guidance for the acquisition of permits to the public and diverse client groups, leads the Government of Yukon’s input into the Yukon and Socio-economic Assessment Board (YESAB) for Land Use delegated project assessments, and makes recommendations to help inform the decision on YESAB evaluation reports.
