Salary Range: The starting annual salary for this teaching position ranges from $30,198 to $50,884, with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.

Association and School District No. 5 (Southeast Kootenay).
-Preference will be given to applicants with BC Teacher Certification.
-Must have a degree/formal training and/or teaching experience in subjects and at a level specific to each
posting.

Job Summary:
Foods Teacher - Grades 8-9

0.429 FTE temporary contract, starting September 8, 2026 or upon completion of
the posting process to June 25, 2027.

Must have a degree/formal training and or teaching experience at the
Intermediate level. Must have a degree/formal training and or teaching
experience in Food Studies or Home Economics. Must have FOODSAFE
certification.

This position is tentatively scheduled to include Foods 8, 9 and International
Foods 9. The schedule for this position is still to be determined. Please note
that all work will be on site.
