We are looking for a Graphic Production Artist on a 12-month contract to utilize their talent to generate, format and assemble electronic layouts for print and digital media. This position is currently open and reflects a replacement position due to an internal transfer. The salary range for this position is $50,000 to $56,000 per year, commensurate with experience, education, and internal equity. This range is provided to ensure clarity and promote equitable access to employment opportunities. Responsibilities When your actions lead to success: Our Graphic Production Artists and Designers are the creators behind the many flyers seen by consumers across the country. A GPA will utilize their talent to generate, format and assemble electronic layouts for print and digital media in both English and French. With a strong foundation in computer graphics and working knowledge of programs such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and After Effects, a GPA will have the opportunity to produce flyers and POPs that help retailers reach their target consumers.This position is responsible for overseeing electronic layout of print media that includes determining the elements required for the page layout. The incumbent will determine the text, artwork, colors, file types and formats to produce the flyer and/or POP that are aligned with the customer’s requirements and Company standards.What you will do: 80% production and 20% design Utilize Adobe Creative Suite Applications Input required graphic elements such as artwork, copy, etc.; Produce templates for page layouts in collaboration with the design team; Ensure projects are created to specification and produce proofs for approval; Format all files to print and digital standards; Support and contribute to a healthy and safe work environment by following all workplace regulations, policies, and initiatives, including reporting all first aid injuries, accidents, and workplace hazards. Qualifications When your expertise drives us: Degree (or work experience equivalent) in computer graphics, design and print production; 3-5 years experience as a Graphic Layout/Production Artist and Designers; Strong knowledge of InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop Solid understanding of the Mac Operating System (OSX); Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills; Retail Flyer Graphic Production experience an asset; Strong problem-solving skills, ability to perform under pressure and demonstrated leadership skills, working well within a team environment; Detail-oriented.
