OK, maybe you won’t get rich – but if you’re looking for a true Canadian Wilderness experience, this job may be for you.

Hostelling International is looking to fill the position of Relief Wilderness Manager at HI Beauty Creek for the Summer season. .This small 20 bed hostel is located off the beaten path one hour south of Jasper Townsite. You will be covering the days off of the regular manager at the facility.

The hostel is “rustic”. There is solar power for some electricity as well as internet. There is no running water. You will wake up to the peace and quiet of the wilderness. You will be able to count the millions of stars in the night sky, or simply enjoy being surrounded by the vastness and indescribable beauty of rugged mountains, hanging glaciers and 400-metre tall waterfalls.

If you have your own transportation, think you’d like to be a host to our guests staying at this little backcountry cabin, are ok with a 7 day on / 7 day off schedule, want to spend your time off hiking, biking and climbing in some of the most beautiful areas that Canada has to offer, please apply today!

This is a salaried position based on a wage of $18.20 per hour and will start at the beginning of May. It includes a 6% vacation entitlement and on site staff accommodation is provided. On your days off, you are welcome to stay at our other many locations in western Canada - or stay onsite at Beauty Creek.
