About the role

Your Opportunity:

Join Our Team at Elk Point Healthcare Centre and discover the natural beauty of Alberta while making a meaningful impact as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at a rural hospital with 12 acute care beds. In this role, you’ll work to the full scope of your practice within a multidisciplinary team, providing patient- and family-centered care based on evidence-informed practices. You’ll care for a diverse range of clients in both Acute Care and the Emergency Department, using your organizational and critical thinking skills to deliver holistic care. We’re seeking a strong problem solver and decision maker who can assess, plan, and evaluate interventions while engaging patients and families in their care. You’ll promote health, ensure safe, quality outcomes, and model Alberta Health Services values. Enjoy comprehensive training across all hospital areas and a supportive team environment while experiencing the unique rewards of rural nursing. Nestled in rolling green hills along the North Saskatchewan River, Elk Point is a welcoming town that began as a fur trading post. The community sits on Treaty 6 territory and those lands of the Metis. The town is now a thriving community shaped by agriculture, oil, and its strong sense of history and culture. The town sits at the edge of Alberta’s Lake Country, along the scenic Iron Horse Trail, offering endless opportunities for outdoor exploration. Families enjoy K–12 schools, parks, sports fields, and a variety of community programs and local events. Elk Point is also a hub for history buffs, with nearby provincial historic sites such as Fort George–Buckingham House. Whether you love the outdoors, sports, history, or community life, Elk Point truly has something for everyone.
