TEMPORARY FOOD SERVICES WORKER
About the role
Duties And Responsibilities
Prepares and serves simple food items prior to and during meal periods Collaborates with the Health Promoting Schools Food Coordinator to support students with dietary needs Maintains a clean work area by washing and cleaning kitchen area, supplies, and equipment Stores excess food and supplies and replaces items in storage areas Receives, stores, rotates and records incoming food supplies and materials. Washes, dries, and stores kitchen dishes and laundry Assists with ordering food supplies and tracking meal counts
Applicants Should Have
Grade 12 or equivalent Valid FOODSAFE Level 1 certification Training in allergy awareness or anaphylaxis considered an asset Ability to follow written instructions Ability to maintain positive working relationships with staff, students, and family members Physical capacity to unload and stock up to 20lbs Basic computer skills such as email and online ordering
The Available Positions Are As Follows
Food Service Worker, Grand Forks Secondary School – one and one-half (1.5) hours/day, four (4) days/week, 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., and while students are in school Food Service Worker, John A. Hutton Elementary School – one and one-half (1.5) hours/day, four (4) days/week, 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., and while students are in school Food Service Worker, Christina Lake Elementary School – one (1) hour/day, four (4) days/week, 7:45 a.m. to 8:45 a.m., and while students are in school Food Service Worker, Boundary Central Secondary School – three (3) hours/day, four (4) days/week, 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and while students are in school Food Service Worker, Beaverdell Elementary School – one-half (.5) hours/day, four (4) days/week, working hours flexible with school principal approval, and while students are in school
