Accountabilities: Support highway maintenance operations by performing flagging duties to ensure safe traffic flow around active work zones. Carry out general labour tasks including roadside cleanup, site housekeeping, and basic maintenance activities. Assist with vegetation control such as mowing, trimming, and maintaining grassed or landscaped highway areas. Work outdoors in all weather conditions while adhering strictly to safety procedures and operational guidelines. Support seasonal infrastructure upkeep across highways, parks, and recreation-adjacent areas as required. Perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, bending, kneeling, and extended periods of manual work. Requirements: Ability to perform physically demanding work in outdoor environments, including lifting up to 50 lbs regularly. Valid G driver’s license and ability to provide a recent 3-year driving abstract. Previous experience in snow removal or highway maintenance is considered a strong asset. Strong awareness of safety practices and ability to follow instructions in active roadside environments. Willingness to work shift schedules, including nights, weekends, and on-call rotations depending on operational needs. Reliable, team-oriented attitude with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced field environment. Comfort working in varying weather conditions and changing outdoor work environments.
