DEPARTMENT: Health, Mental Health and Addictions

CLASSIFICATION: MGO-06

SALARY RANGE: Starting at $68,979.00 Per Annum

POSITION TYPE: Full-time, Temporary (1-Year Term)

LOCATION: Saskatoon or Regina

ACCOUNTABLE TO: HMHA Program Manager

Brief Overview:

Health, Mental Health, and Addictions is seeking a skilled supervisor to coordinate daily operations across multiple cities, support frontline staff, ensure safe and effective harm‑reduction practices, and strengthen community engagement. This individual will bring strong knowledge of marginalized populations, trauma‑informed care, and local resources, while providing leadership, oversight of documentation, and strategic outreach planning to improve service delivery and community impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate day-to-day outreach operations, including street outreach and site-based services across Saskatoon, Regina, and Prince Albert.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of current community needs and barriers.
  • Ensure staff safety and de-escalation practices during street-based outreach.
  • Monitor and restock supplies needed for outreach.
  • Support performance analysis and assist in developing actionable solutions.
  • Develop and implement outreach strategies to engage targeted populations.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of community programs and supports.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of services and support in monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
  • Review case file documentation to identify risks, operational needs, and escalate findings to management.
  • Supervision of the program and outreach workers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Deep understanding of harm reduction philosophy and recovery-oriented systems of care.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with community members and community agencies.
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills.
  • Understanding of the factors which contribute to Mental Health and Addictions and homelessness.
  • Extensive Knowledge of available community resources
  • Profound Understanding of Trauma Integrated Practice and person-centered approach.
  • Strong Communication, leadership, and crisis intervention skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytic, and problem-solving skills are an asset.
  • Advanced computer skills, including knowledge of Adobe and Microsoft Programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, mental health, and addictions, or 3-5 years of experience working with front-line community-based services.
  • Experience working with marginalized populations, including people who use drugs, individuals experiencing homelessness, and the LGBTQIA2S+ community.
  • Experience in supervising/managing and scheduling teams.
  • Ability to communicate in Indigenous Languages is an asset.

Additional requirements:

  • A valid Saskatchewan driver’s license and/or access to reliable transportation to our downtown location would be required.

  • The successful candidate must undergo a Criminal Record Check.

  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

  • The Travel requirement for this position is 15%
