This role offers hands-on exposure to how institutional investment processes are executed and supported, with opportunities to contribute to operational workflows, projects, and process improvements. The Analyst will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, gaining experience across multiple areas while developing technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment. What you will do: Support day-to-day Investment Operations functions across capital markets, such as derivatives trade documentation, trade capture of capital market instruments, settlement and treasury management. Contribute to process improvement initiatives, including documenting workflows and identifying opportunities for efficiency and control enhancements. Develop and maintain clear and comprehensive process documentation and procedures. Help test and support business processes for new investment products and strategies. Conduct research and maintain spreadsheets and databases. Take on additional tasks and projects that support team priorities and learning. What you bring: University degree in Business, Finance or related discipline. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with high level of attention to detail. Comfortable working with data and technology; experience with Adobe, Excel, Power BI, Power Automate, Python or VBA is an asset. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Curious, eager to learn, and comfortable working with different teams. Alignment with HOOPP’s core values: Accountable, Compassionate, and Trustworthy. Exposure to financial products (e.g., equities, bonds, derivatives) is an asset. Willing to assume other responsibilities as required. The expected annual base salary range for this role is: $71,000 - $109,000 CAD The actual base salary offered to the successful candidate may vary based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, individual's expertise and level of experience applicable to the role they are being offered.
