This posting is for up to two unionized contractual appointments. A Teaching Assistant is a Graduate Student employed to assist the Course Supervisor as a Teaching Assistant in a classroom environment. Teaching Assistant Positions are governed by the Collective Agreement between McGill University and the Association of Graduate Students Employed at McGill (AGSEM).

Position Summary:
Primary Duties:

Responsible for assessing students' peer- and self-evaluations of project deliverables throughout the semester, offering feedback on their project progress, and assisting the instructor with in-class exercises. Requirements: Must be thorough, diligent and consistent. Must be responsible and willing to provide in-person (virtual) and real time feedback to students.

  • Grading of assignments
  • Replying to questions on exams and assignments
  • Assisting with invigilating midterm and final exams

Qualifications:

  • Graduate student (Kinesiology)
  • Recommended that applicants have good grounding in exercise physiology

Language Requirements:

Fluency in French preferred
