Role : Business Analyst Duration: Contract – 6 months Location: Remote

Role: We are seeking a detail-oriented IT Business Analyst to support initiatives within the Operational Risk domain. The successful candidate will bring a strong understanding of operational risk terminology, risk hierarchy, and risk management frameworks, along with effective stakeholder communication and the ability to collaborate across teams. While hands-on experience with RSA Archer is an asset (not mandatory), the role focuses on translating business needs into clear technical requirements and supporting risk-related data and process initiatives. A proactive, team-oriented approach is essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities Gather and understand business requirements from stakeholders. Document requirements using BRDs, process flows, and functional documents. Analyze operational risk processes and identify areas for improvement. Work with Agile/Scrum teams to deliver projects. Use SQL to analyze data and support reporting. Create data mappings and document data flows. Help with risk reporting and data-related initiatives. Communicate effectively with business and technical teams.

Required Skills 2+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst or a similar role. Bachelor's degree in IT, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field. Experience writing BRDs, process documentation, and data mapping documents. Knowledge of Agile/Scrum and tools like Jira. Good SQL and data analysis skills. Basic understanding of cloud data platforms and data lakes. Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills Experience with RSA Archer or other GRC tools. Knowledge of operational risk frameworks (Basel, OSFI, etc.). Experience with Power BI or Tableau. Familiarity with Azure services such as ADLS, Azure Synapse, Databricks, and Cosmos DB. Agile, Business Analysis, or Risk Management certifications are a plus.
