About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced GOMACO Operators to work seasonally in a full-time capacity, in various locations throughout Edmonton. The successful candidate must be able to align with the company's core values: Commitment, Attitude and Respect.
Responsibilities:
- Safe operation of GOMACO concrete equipment
- Work with all crew members to complete all duties and tasks normally associated with machine-poured concrete, and road construction
- Perform daily preventative maintenance on equipment (e.g. performing pre-trips, greasing the machine, etc)
- Load/unload/move the equipment
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience with GOMACO operation and working with the concrete crews
- Minimum 3 years of municipal road building industry experience
- Thorough knowledge of the safe operation of GOMACO and minor repairs of the same
- Ability to work continuously for prolonged periods of time under pressure
- Must possess a valid class 5 driver’s license or above with a clean drivers abstract
- High attention to detail, strong communication skills and ability to follow directions
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently with little supervision
- Willingness and ability to work extended hours and weekends
- Valid safety certifications
Additional Information:
- This is a seasonal position and starts in spring of every year
- This position is eligible for over-time
- Company vehicle may be provided
- Some travel outside of Edmonton may be required
- Training will be provided for various activities
- We offer excellent wages and benefit eligibility after 3 months and you may continue your benefits during the winter months (off season).
- Potential on call work during the winter months during snow removal and early spring sweeping season.
