Hiring: Processing Center Advisor (GOAPRDJP00000985) Client: Government of Alberta Location: Edmonton, Alberta (Onsite) Duration: 7-Month Contract with potential extensions up to 18 months We are seeking detail-oriented, customer-focused professionals to join the Government of Alberta as a Processing Center Advisor. In this role, you will support Alberta families and childcare providers by processing applications, assessing eligibility, and delivering high-quality client service for the Child Care Subsidy Program and Early Learning initiatives. Key Responsibilities Review, assess, and process applications, renewals, and amendments in accordance with program policies and guidelines. Determine client eligibility by reviewing financial and supporting documentation. Respond to client inquiries via phone, email, and online channels. Investigate and resolve application, payment, eligibility, and system-related issues. Maintain accurate records while ensuring compliance with privacy, security, and information management requirements. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support effective program delivery. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, testing, training, and operational projects. Required Qualifications Minimum 3 years of Customer Service and/or Retail Sales experience. Minimum 2 years of experience researching documentation to determine resolutions. Minimum 3 years of experience working in a fast-paced environment with strong problem-solving skills. Minimum 3 years of experience prioritizing multiple tasks and deliverables in a complex environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent analytical, organizational, and decision-making abilities. Experience handling confidential and sensitive information with professionalism. Preferred Qualifications Experience in a call center or contact center environment. Experience in eligibility assessment, case management, benefits administration, or program administration. Government or public sector experience. Experience working with multiple systems and databases simultaneously while providing customer service. Work Schedule Monday to Friday 8:15 AM – 4:30 PM (Alberta Time) Security Requirements Successful candidates must be eligible to complete: Level 2 Enhanced Security Screening Criminal Record Check Financial Management Risk Indicator Screening (FMRIS) Location Requirement: Candidates must reside within one hour of Edmonton to support onsite operational requirements.
